A Multi-Day Course meets multiple times over one or more weeks. Learners join the teacher in live video chat sessions at scheduled times. Outside of these sessions, they can take part in a classroom discussion group and message the teacher directly. Longer courses create more opportunities: real-time activities, engaging projects, and interaction with diverse classmates from other states and countries.

Class Experience

Week 0- Guitar Anatomy, Positioning / Playing Melody Part I
1. Introduction of student/teacher.
2. In this part we learn about the different parts of Guitar.
3. What are different kinds of Guitars.
4. Plectrum and their Gauges / Use of Different Gauges.
5. Guitar /Hand /Plectrum Positioning
6. Play a Simple Melody using one string

Week 1- Guitar Tuning / Melody -Part II
1. Revision of previous Class
2. Playing a melody -part II
3. Playing both melodies together.
4. How to tune your Guitar.

Week 2- Strumming/Reading Chord Boxes / First two Chords
1. Revision of previous Class.
2. Basic Strumming
3. First Chord
4. How To read Chord Box
5. Applying Chord box learning to our second Chord.
6. Changing between these two chords.

Week 3- Learning Our First Song using two Chords
1. Revision of previous Class.
2. Our First Song using two previously learned chords.
3. Practicing the newly learned song

Week 4- Concluding our First Song
1. Quick revision of previous Class.
2. Learning two new chords using chord box.
3. Switching between newly learned chords.
4. Concluding our song using all learned chords.

Students must have a guitar at home to participate and practice.

By the end of week 5, the dedicated student will be able to play along with 4 different alternative rock songs, know how to play a major scale, name all the notes on their guitar neck, and be able to identify a quarter note by sight and sound.
