A Multi-Day Course meets multiple times over one or more weeks. Learners join the teacher in live video chat sessions at scheduled times. Outside of these sessions, they can take part in a classroom discussion group and message the teacher directly. Longer courses create more opportunities: real-time activities, engaging projects, and interaction with diverse classmates from other states and countries.

Class Experience

Biology is such an interesting and applicable science! We will learn about cells, body systems, DNA, genetics, adaptations, ecosystems, and much more. Students are encouraged to research and investigate topics that interest them and share this with the class.

  • Week 1: Scientific Method and Process Activities: Instructional Video, Lab and Lab Report, Class Discussion and Responses
  • Week 2: Definition of Living, Classification Systems, Dichotomous Keys Activities: Instructional Video, Dichotomous Key Practice, Living vs Nonliving Flipgrid and Responses, Assessment 1
  • Week 3: Levels of Organization, Body Systems Overview, Key Terms List Activities: Instructional Video, Virtual Dissection and Report Discussion, Body Systems Webquest, Kahoot
  • Week 4: Bacteria, Viruses, Diseases, Immune System, Key Terms List Activities: Instructional Video, Class Discussion, Research a Disease Project and Presentation
